Secured Marin Water’s Financial Security by developing and approving a fair four-year rate structure which eliminated the District’s operating deficit, restored reserve funds, and enabled Marin Water’s ambitious capital improvement programs to move forward.

Launched New Water Supply Developments including construction of a pipeline to import and store winter storm water from the Russian River, and many smaller water supply improvements that improve our ability to transfer water between our reservoirs during droughts.

Rolled Out a New Water Efficiency Masterplan and Advanced Metering Infrastructure that increased subsidies for the most productive conservation activities and provides Marin Water’ customers with real-time data on their water use.

Negotiated a New Collective Bargaining Agreement With Marin Water Employees that provides them with fair and competitive wages and ensures the District can continue to attract and maintain the highest caliber workforce.

 

 Expanded a Major Environmental Restoration Initiative which restored salmon habitats in Lagunitas creek, one of the most important salmon breeding areas in the Bay Area. 

Improved Wildfire Prevention on Our Watershed with prescribed burns, fire pathway modeling, infrastructure hardening, invasive plant management, and fuel break maintenance

Developed a Recreation Management Feasibility Study for our watershed, launched an e-bike pilot on the watershed, opened a new multi-use trail that includes bike access, and initiated an update of our Roads and Trails Management Plan that will include trail standards for bike access.
