Dear friends and supporters,
I want to quickly update everyone on how my re-election prospects are looking.
I have been focused on assembling the infrastructure of a winning campaign. My website is up, Ranjiv4MarinWater.com, and I have been meeting with community leaders and stakeholders to earn their early endorsement and support.
So far, my conversations have been encouraging. I am proud to have received endorsements from:
- CA State Assemblymember Damon Connolly, District 12
- Every member of the Marin Board of Supervisors
- Mary Sackett, District 1
- Brian Colbert, District 2 & 2nd Vice President
- Stephanie Moulton-Peters, District 3 & 1st Vice President
- Dennis Rodoni, District 4
- Eric Lucan, District 5 & President
- My colleagues on the Marin Water Board of Directors
- Matt Samson, Division I
- Diana Maier, Division II
- Jed Smith, Division IV & President
And the list is growing. I’ll be adding updates on my website.
The one question I keep being asked is, “Do you have an opponent?”
The answer is currently no, but in order to ensure this remains the case, I have to continue planning for a competitive race right until the filing deadline in the summer.
This is why I am asking for your financial support.
If we can continue to build political and financial capital, then it will be increasingly unlikely that a credible opponent will emerge.
With your help, I will be able to build on the accomplishments of my first term, and keep Marin Water responsive to residents, fiscally sound, drought-resistant, and strategically minded.
Thank you for your time and support,
Ranjiv Khush
PS. I’ll be speaking at the Commonwealth Club World Affairs in San Rafael on March 19th – Climate Change: Water Wars or Water Resilience?
Please come and join the discussion!
